On 5 October, Ambassador Wang Tongqing met with Ville Tavio, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development of Finland. The two exchanged views on promoting the bilateral cooperation in economy, trade and other fields.

While noting that Finland is one of the first countries signing governmental trade agreement with China, Ambassador Wang pointed out that the two countries have achieved fruitful outcomes in their economic and trade cooperation over the past seven decades, and that China stays committed to advancing her high-level opening up and is willing to further deepen economic and trade cooperation with Finland.

Minister Tavio noted that Finland stands ready to continue promoting economic and trade interactions with China and enhancing the bilateral exchanges and cooperation in fields including energy conservation, emission reduction and circular economy; and that Finland looks forward to attending the sixth China International Import Expo.
