On 11 October, Ambassador Wang Tongqing met Tytti Tuppurainen, Chair of the parliamentary group of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). Ambassador Wang said China and Finland, the legislative institutions of the two countries and the Communist Party of China (CPC) and SDP have long kept friendly exchanges; and that China is willing to continue developing and deepening China-Finland bilateral relations and cooperation in various areas on the basis of the principles of mutual respect, equality, exchanges and mutual learning, and win-win cooperation. Chair Tuppurainen highly applauded the tremendous development achievements China made under the leadership of CPC in areas including poverty alleviation, and stated the willingness to deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in areas such as circular economy, health, and environmental protection, so as to tackle the global challenges together.

The two also exchanged views with regard to Ukraine crisis and the recent conflicts between Israel and Palestine.
