On 15 November, Ambassador Wang Tongqing met with Member of Parliament and Former Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto. The two exchanged views on China-Finland relations, China-Europe relations and other issues of common interest.

Ambassador Wang noted that China and Finland have maintained long-term friendly and stable cooperative relations, with fruitful outcomes in our practical cooperation in all fields. He said that China is ready to strengthen communication, exchanges and cooperation with Finland to bring benefits to both countries and peoples. Ambassador Wang also emphasized that China values its relations with Europe and stands ready to promote high-level dialogue and interactions at various levels with Europe for the sound and steady development of China-Europe relations.

Haavisto noted that Finland looks forward to enhancing exchanges with China and continuing open, candid and friendly dialogue, and that Finland supports cooperation between Europe and China.
