On 15 November, Ambassador Wang Tongqing met with Speaker of the Parliament of Finland Jussi Halla-aho. The two exchanged views on China-Finland relations, exchanges between the legislative bodies of the two countries, etc.

Ambassador Wang noted that China and Finland have been working together in various fields based on the principle of mutual respect, equality, exchanges and mutual learning, and win-win cooperation since the two countries established diplomatic relations 73 years ago, and have achieved fruitful outcomes. He emphasized that China stands ready to further deepen the political mutual trust, practical cooperation and people-to-people exchanges with Finland, so as to further promote the interactions and cooperation between the legislative bodies of both countries.

Speaker Halla-aho noted that China-Finland relations have been sound and steady on a long-term basis; and that Finland is ready to strengthen dialogue with China and promote bilateral relations based on mutual respect.
