On 29 November, Ambassador Wang Tongqing met with Lulu Ranne, Minister of Transport and Communications of Finland. The two exchanged views on deepening the cooperation in the fields of transport and communications between China and Finland.

Ambassador Wang noted that the cooperation on transport between China and Finland enjoys solid basis and fruitful outcomes. He stated that the two countries have been building multi-dimensional interconnectivity network of land, sea and air, which continuously promotes the bilateral people-to-people exchanges, flow of goods and economic and trade interactions. Ambassador Wang pointed out that both countries have their own representative enterprises in the field of telecommunications, and their practical cooperation has been outstanding. Ambassador Wang stated that the Chinese government is committed to improving business environment and hopes the Finnish government provide facilitation for Chinese businesses operating in Finland. He emphasized that China values the outcomes of bilateral practical cooperation and looks forward to continuously working with Finland in the same direction to deepen exchanges and cooperation in relevant fields.

Minister Ranne noted that Finland-China relations have been stable and constructive for long, and that both countries treat each other honestly with mutual trust. She emphasized that Finland also cherishes the long-term friendly relations and cooperation with China and wishes to continue the honest and friendly dialogue with China.

Ms. Gui Yun, Counsellor in charge of economic and commercial affairs, attended the meeting.
