On 28 May, Ambassador Wang Tongqing met with Kaisa Juuso, Minister of Social Affairs and Health of Finland. The two exchanged views in strengthening cooperation in social affairs and health between China and Finland.

Ambassador Wang noted that China and Finland have long witnessed sound and steady development of their bilateral relations, with fruitful exchange and cooperation in social affairs and health. As he pointed out, the experts of both countries shared experience on pandemic prevention and control during COVID-19. He emphasized that China is ready to continuously strengthen the exchange of ideas and harness the potential of cooperation on social affairs and health with Finland, so as to bring more well-being to both peoples.

Minister Juuso noted that Finland-China relations have long enjoyed stable development and both countries have maintained exchange and cooperation on social affairs and health for many years. She pointed out that Finland wishes to deepen cooperation with China in fields including smart medical services and elderly care technology.
