On June 12, Ambassador Chen Li hosted a reception for the board members of the Finland-China Society. Mr Mikko Puustinen, the Chairman of Finland-China Society and over 10 council members representing different branches of the Society in all Finland, attended the reception.

Ambassador Chen highly valued the great efforts made by Finland-China Society to enhance friendship between the two countries and promote the people to people exchanges. He noted, heads of state of our two countries have successfully exchanged visits within two years, thus lifting bilateral friendly relations to a new level. This year marks the 70th Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, also the China-Finland Year of Winter Sports, jointly agreed upon and announced by the two presidents. Next year will marks the 70th anniversary of the the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Finland. Both sides will hold a series celebrations and activities. With joint efforts, our cooperation will surely be closer and more fruitful.

Mr Mikko Puustinen highly appreciated the great supports from Ambassador Chen and the Embassy. He noted, with the moving forward relations between Finland and China, the Finland-China Society is doing well in its expansion and development. In the future, the Society will continue to make efforts to develop the friendship between the two counties and the two peoples.
