Recently, someone sent by the so-called "Tibetan government-in-exile" visited Finland and other countries. It is a separatist political group and an illegal organization that is not recognized by any country in the world.

China reiterates that Xizang(Tibet) has been a sacred and inalienable part of China's territory since ancient times, and China has indisputable sovereignty over Xizang. Matters related to Xizang are purely China's internal affairs. China firmly opposes any form of contact between any country and this organization for any reason.

Mutual respect for each other's core interests is the foundation and principle of China-Finland relations. China urges the relevant Finnish parties and certain individual members of parliament to respect China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, stop meddling with China's internal affairs under the pretext of Xizang-related issues and do more things conducive to the mutual trust and cooperation between our two countries.
