On October 9th, Ambassador Wang Tongqing met with Eveliina Heinäluoma, Member of the Finnish Parliament and Chair of the Helsinki City Council, when both exchanged views on China-Finland relations, exchanges between the legislative bodies of the two countries and the two capital cities of Beijing and Helsinki, as well as the local exchanges and cooperation, among others. Both parties agreed that over the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Finland, there have been fruitful outcomes in the bilateral cooperation in various fields. Next year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the sister city relationship between Beijing and Helsinki. Both parties are ready to take this opportunity to strengthen mutual learning in areas such as urban planning, circular economy and green development, so as to further promote the exchanges and cooperation at both national and subnational levels.
