The 21st Finland–China Joint Committee Meeting on Science and Technology Cooperation Held in Helsinki

On the morning of November 17, Vice Minister of Science and Technology of China Chen Jiachang and Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland Petri Peltonen co-chaired the 21st Finland–China Joint Committee Meeting on Science and Technology Cooperationin Helsinki. Ambassador of China to Finland Wang Tongqing attended the meeting.

Both sides spoke positively of the fruitful achievements in science and technology innovation cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic ties 75 years ago. They affirmed their commitment to further implement the Joint Action Plan between China and Finland on Promoting the Future-oriented New-type Cooperative Partnership 2025-2029 in depth, and to enhance the role of science, technology and innovation cooperation in bilateral relations. The two parties expressed their willingness to carry out pragmatic cooperation in areas such as climate change and carbon neutrality, circular economy, health, technology commercialization and industrial cooperation, with the aim of delivering greater benefits to the peoples of both countries and contributing China–Finland wisdom in addressing global challenges.
