Jointly hosted by the City of Espoo, Aalto University and the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT), the Fourth Espoo Innovation Day was held on June 3 in Espoo, where Mayor Mr. Kai Mykkänen delivered the opening address for the event, and Deputy Mayor of Espoo Ms. Mervi Heinaro, Vice President of Aalto University Mr. Janne Laine & Vice President of VTT Ms. Janica Ylikarjula jointly presented such contents as the strategic synergies of innovation collaboration of Espoo’s innovation ecosystem, relevant cross cutting researches and their close cooperation with enterprises, as well as the development of disruptive innovations. 

Mr. Chen Huixin, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy, and his team, attended the event upon the organizers’ invitation. He also visited the Aalto University’s innovation center Viima and the innovation community “A Grid”, engaging in in-depth exchanges with representatives from major local startups such as Willo and Kvanttinova, hoping that the City of Espoo and relevant enterprises further enhance their exchanges and cooperation with China, especially with Espoo's sister city Shanghai, in the fields of trade, economy, science, technology, culture and tourism, among others, so as to continuously enrich the contents of China-Finland bilateral relation.
